Sowing of winter crops is over on the fields of “ROSTOK-HOLDING” Group. The area under winter grain increased almost 3-fold y-o-y.
In particular, winter wheat was sown on the area of 11.1 thou. hectares (2014: 4.2 thou. hectares), winter rape — on 0.6 thou. hectares (2014: winter rape was not part of the crop mix).
“Sawing campaign was a success. Despite the material and technical resources price increase all procedures were carried out in due time. As usual among winter crops, the stake is on winter wheat. We used high-quality seeds. From now on all our attention is on the weather”, — said Yurii Lebedev, Chief agronomist of the group.
As previously reported, expansion of the area under winter crops is largely due to increase in the group’s total area under cultivation as well as a gradual increase of the share of winter grains in crop mix 2015.
