“ROSTOK-HOLDING” is sowing spring crops.
“We have already sown spring barley and are sowing sunflower now. As of today we have sown ca. 30% of the area planned for this type of crops. Corn and soybeans are to follow. Under favorable weather conditions the sowing campaign is to end up by mid-May”, — said Yurii Lebedev, Chief agronomist of the group.
The farms of the group are fully supplied with the necessary amounts of seeds and plant protection products (PPPs). Traditionally, seeds and original PPPs are provided by the world’s leading companies.
Fertilizers have been also purchased in full. The amount of fertilizers to be used this year has been optimized as a result of careful agrochemical inspection of each separate field.
As previously reported, in 2015 ROSTOK-HOLDING plans to plant corn on the area of 21.8 thou hectares, sunflower — on 11.7 thou hectares, soybeans — on 3.5 thou hectares, spring barley — on 2.3 thou hectares. The area under fodder crops will amount to ca. 0.8 thou hectares.
