ROSTOK-HOLDING Increased Elevator Drying Capacity

“ROSTOK-HOLDING” Group increased the design drying capacity of its elevator complexes in Ichnia (Chernihiv region) and Hlukhiv towns (Sumy oblast).

“Corn and soybean are key crops in our crop mix. The yields of both crops are high and tend to grow year-on-year. Therefore, the need to increase the drying capacity of elevators is obvious. Moreover, in the northern region corn is extremely energy-intensive, in particular because grain comes from the field being highly moisturized. In addition, an increase in drying capacity will allow speeding up harvesting campaign and gathering crops with fewer losses and of good quality. It will also help to prepare for the next sowing season in advance”, — comments Yaroslav Shtyka, Head of elevators development of “ROSTOK-HOLDING” group.

In particular, on the elevator in Ichnia town the additional Brock MEYER 2400S dryer was built. Also there was installed one more technological tower as well as one more dump pit was put into operation.

On the elevator in Hlukhiv town additional section was added to one of the “Mega” dryers.

Upon completion of the reconstruction, the group’s total drying capacity of corn is to exceed 7 thou tons/day.
