“ROSTOK-HOLDING” Finished Sowing Winter Wheat

“ROSTOK-HOLDING” group finished sowing winter wheat for 2019 harvest.

In particular, the farms of the group sowed winter wheat on 9.2 thou hectares (autumn 2017: 6.7 thou hectares). The share of winter wheat in the crop mix of the group will reach 16%.

“All fields have been prepared for the autumn sowing campaign on time. Despite the rising cost of material and technical resources and the delay in supply of mineral fertilizers, winter wheat sowing campaign was carried out in optimal terms, with all technological operations exercised in due course. Regarding the influence of weather factors, this autumn the farms of our region noted somewhat low moisture reserve in the soil. But today we can already state that heavy rains that fell in the beginning of the third decade of September have significantly improved the situation”, — says Yurii Lebedev, Chief agronomist of “ROSTOK-HOLDING” group.

At present, the farms of the holding are collecting late crops.
