ROSTOK-HOLDING’s Yield of Winter Wheat Reached 6.7 tons/ha

The yield of winter wheat gathered on the fields of “ROSTOK-HOLDING” group reached a historical peak of 6.7 tons per hectare (2016: 4.9 tons/hectares).

“This result was achieved through a well thought-out investment strategy. And these are the appropriate selection of seeds as well as the strict compliance with the technology of wheat planting that played a pivotal role. This year, we are pleased with both foreign and Ukrainian seeds of winter wheat”, — said Yurii Lebedev, Chief agronomist of the group.

On August 12, the farms of “ROSTOK-HOLDING” group harvested winter wheat on the area of 7.7 thou hectares (2016: 9.7 thou hectares). The croppage reached 51.1 thou tons (2016: 47.9 thou tons).

Just to recall, in 2017 the share of winter wheat amounts to ca. 15% in the group’s total crop mix.

*According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the average yield of winter wheat in Ukraine reached 4.14 tons/hectares as of August 11 (96% of the area harvested).
