The group of enterprises “Rostok Holding” and its beneficial owners paid UAH 26.04 million to the budgets of all levels based on the results of January-July 2022.
Of the total amount, UAH 13.64 million went to the state budget, including UAH 7.84 million paid by the company’s shareholders. UAH 8.78 million was transferred to the budget of Kyiv, and UAH 3.61 million to the budget of the Novgorod-Siversk community.
The war significantly affected the possibility of doing business in Ukraine. Rostock Holding’s facilities were under occupation for 35 days. Due to the destruction of the logistics chains of the economy, the groups were unable to export the harvest for sale. The first trains with grain left only three months after the liberation of Novgorod-Siversky district of Chernihiv region. The company also managed to quickly carry out the sowing campaign, although the sowing area had to be reduced due to mine contamination.
Despite all the difficulties, the owners of “Rostok Holding” made a responsible decision to continue working, providing work for the residents of the Novgorod-Siversk community. This made it possible to continue paying taxes that go to ensure the state’s defense capability, although after February 24, the government of Ukraine gave businesses the right to choose whether they are able to make such assessments.
“Currently, our company is limited in its ability to conduct business, however, we understand our responsibility to the state and to the people. We are doing everything possible to preserve farms that provide people with work and support the country’s economy, said Viktor Kupavtsev, beneficial owner of Rostock Holding Group. – It is not about profits, but about support and mutual assistance. Therefore, although the state allows businesses to delay paying taxes, we fulfill our obligations in good faith and remit all payments on time.”
